PCI Level 1 Compliance
Vanco Services is a Payment Card Industry (PCI) Level 1 Compliant Service Provider. While PCI security standards were developed for the payment card industry, Vanco has taken the additional step to implement them across its entire e.service® line of electronic payment solutions. These standards were developed by the founding payment brands of the PCI Security Standards Council, including American Express, Discover Financial services, JCB, MasterCard Worldwide and Visa International to help facilitate the broad adoption of consistent data security measures on a global basis. PCI compliance is a comprehensive standard intended to help organizations proactively protect customer account data.

Companies are divided into four categories based upon transaction volume. Level 1, the highest level, is comprised of those companies with the very highest transaction volumes. The designation "Level 1 Compliant" is reserved for large volume organizations like Vanco that pass rigorous independent on-site audits annually in addition to other critical assessments.
 
Information We Collect & How it is Used:
Vanco Services collects only the information necessary to perform the services requested by our clients. Such information includes personal information about our clients and their customers. Once this information is collected, it is safeguarded in Vanco's system and used only when needed to fulfill our clients' requests.
 
Safeguarding Information:
Clients of Vanco Services place a great deal of trust in our business by sharing with us their personal information and the information of their customers. Protecting the security of such information is one of our top priorities. To ensure that our clients' information remains secure, Vanco Services utilizes advanced technology and follows stringent security guidelines. We constantly review our security measures and policies to ensure that we adapt to changes in technology and the business environment in order to protect the privacy of our clients and their customers. Examples of safeguards in place at Vanco Services include:
  • Maintaining technical, physical, and operational safeguards to protect the personal information of our clients and their customers.
  • Restricting access to information only to individuals who need the information to service the requests of our clients and their customers.
 
 
 
In addition to our own internal measures, Vanco Services urges our clients to take added steps to increase their privacy and protect information in areas under their own personal control.
 
Sharing Information:
Vanco Services understands the need to retain and disclose information in order to provide the services that our clients demand. In cases where a third party requires the information of our clients or their customers, Vanco Services will not disclose personal information unless:
  • Required by subpoena or law.
  • Required to fulfill a written service request submitted by our clients.
  • The information is necessary to guard against fraud or illegal activity; the safety of our clients, their customers, our employees, or property; or otherwise permitted by law.
  • Permitted by law to contribute to the fulfillment of services rendered to our clients by our service providers.
  • Our clients have directed us to disclose personal information in writing to a third party on their behalf.
 
Client Access to Information:
Vanco Services understands the importance of providing our clients access to their information and to their customers' information so they may verify and maintain its accuracy. To support this need, we provide clients with 24/7 access to our online Service Center.
